ATLANTA (MedPage Today) — Two strategies aimed at preventing cardiovascular events in high-risk patients — use of an angiotensin receptor blocker or a short-acting insulin secretagogue for five years — failed to reduce myocardial infarction or stroke, researchers here reported.
