First of all, call your dentist first thing in the morning.  Let him know exactly what kind of pain you are having....constant pain, localized to a certain area, etc.  Your can rinse your mouth out with warm salt water.  Be gentle when you rinse, just swish around lightly.  You most likely have a temporary filling in there that you don't want to dislodge.  If you have any swelling you can apply a warm cloth to the area of your face .  Sometimes if there is a lot of infection, the anibiotics and the infection counteract each other,  that's why it's painfull.  If you got antibiotics make sure you take them all.  And yes, you should be able to get painkillers, check with the dr. in the a.m..  Insist if you have to , but try and get an appt.  tomorrow so the dr.can check the tooth with an x-ray, or prescribe something to get u through to your next scheduled appt.
